Cirencester Friendly has joined the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
The income protection specialist, owned by its more than 44,000 members, joins around 300 insurance and long-term savings companies who are represented by the ABI.
Yvonne Braun, director of health and protection policy at ABI, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Cirencester Friendly into ABI membership.
“Their focus on supporting their members when they need it most is a value we share.
“We’re really looking forward to working with them to progress the industry’s protection goals together.”
Andy Morris, CEO at Cirencester Friendly, (pictured) added: “Attaining ABI membership represents a real step forward for Cirencester Friendly as an organisation and a presence in the market.
“We look forward to working with the ABI to increase awareness of mutual insurers and talk about the things that matter to us – providing essential cover when people need help the most and doing so in a fair and compassionate way.
“It also underlines our position as a leading provider of income protection which offers people much needed financial support during these turbulent times.”
