Cleveland Clinic has appointed Dr Robert Lorenz as president of its London operation.
Dr Lorenz will succeed Tomasso Falcone from 1 June – Dr Falcone has been interim president since October 2022 when former president and CEO Brian Donley resigned.
Dr Lorenz has worked at Cleveland Clinic for more than 20 years.
Upon completing his residency with the organisation in 2002 he was appointed a staff physician and later section head of head and neck surgery, where he built his career.
Since 2020, Dr Lorenz has served as executive medical director of market and network services with responsiblity for the clinical aspects of government and commercial contracts.
He has also had spells as medical director of specialty contracting and was chief medical officer of the firm’s Abu Dhabi centre during the early years of construction between 2008 and 2011.
Dr Falcone will return to his prior role of chief of staff and chief academic officer for the London operation and will support Dr Lorenz during the transition.
