Cleveland Clinic opens cancer facility in UAE

Cleveland Clinic has opened the Fatima bint Mubarak Centre – a new cancer facility at its Abu Dhabi facility.

The 205,000-square-foot facility is modelled on Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Centre

It provides personalised care for each cancer patient’s journey and brings an integrated and transformative approach to diagnosing and treating the disease in the UAE and the Middle East, the hospital group said.

Tom Mihaljevic, M.D., CEO and president of Cleveland Clinic, said: “Today marks the next step in fulfilling our mission to provide compassionate, complex care in the UAE.

“Eight years ago, our mission in the UAE began with the opening of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. It continues today with the Fatima bint Mubarak Centre, which will allow patients to receive world class cancer care in the UAE.

“Thank you to everyone who is helping us fight this disease and improve the lives of those throughout the region. Working together, we can bring new hope and better outcomes to those diagnosed with cancer.”
