Engage Health Group has hired James Dwyer as head of international benefits.

Most recently head of international healthcare at Brown & Brown, Dwyer previously ran his own advice firm.

Prior to this, he was a sales director at International Medical Group (IMG) and before that regional director for the UK and Benelux region at Globality Health.

He was also a healthcare consultant at the Health Insurance Group and a senior sales executive at Axa earlier in his career.

Dwyer succeeds Penny Pemberton, who has been appointed by Lockton as a principal consultant.

Before joining Engage she was at Aon where she was the UK lead for global benefits and was head of key accounts at Bupa Global before that.
