Everest Insurance International has launched an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven international private medical insurance (IPMI) management tool for the Singapore market.
The Innovator product was developed to choose appropriate doctors and was developed in collaboration with DocDoc and Axa Life and Health Reinsurance Solutions.
It uses AI to match patients and their medical needs with the most relevant physicians and is designed to help save time and administrative costs for organisations and their employees.
Everest said it is designed for companies to give their employees an efficient way to handle their healthcare, and to help streamline the matching of customers to doctors.
An Everest spokesperson told Health & Protection: “Innovator is an IPMI product, but it’s not an insurance plan. It’s for employers to purchase for their employees to be able to maximise their healthcare experience.”
The product is first available in Singapore and is a part of Everest’s growing accident and health (A&H) offerings.
Everest Insurance International is a part of the Everest Group, which started in Delaware in the United States and has headquarters in Bermuda.
Glen Browne, global head of A&H at Everest Insurance International, said: “Committed to expanding our A&H offerings in Singapore to fulfil a significant gap in the market, we are energised by how leveraging AI to rapidly analyse data strengthens our A&H offerings and enables us to deliver a more robust and exceptional healthcare experience for our clients.”
Tomi Latva-Kiskola, regional head of insurance, Asia for Everest Insurance International, said: “The Innovator platform utilises cutting-edge technology to set a new benchmark for access to quality medical insurance across Asia.
“This exciting partnership leverages AI and data science to address the core challenges faced by our clients, supporting the ongoing innovation and expansion of our A&H offerings to meet growing market demand.”
Cole Sirucek, CEO and co-founder of DocDoc, said: “Innovator is poised to be a game-changer for the international private medical insurance market, and we are thrilled to be partnering with Everest to deliver unmatched reliability and value.”
