Business outsourcing provider Everise is hiring 1,200 licensed health insurance agent roles to support three client healthcare insurers in the US.
The firm revealed it is recruiting across 35 US states, with a particular focus on Tucson, Arizona; Twin Falls, Idaho; Las Vegas, Nevada; Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and Austin, Texas.
The positions are full time and employees will use Everise’s desktop platform to build their careers working at home.
Everise will pay for preferred candidates to undertake training and licensing, which is conducted through its College of Insurance (COI) and provider ExamFX. Once licensed, employees receive a full-time job and a benefits package.
Candidates are also offered mentoring to support their bid for a license. All costs for the exam, including fingerprinting and license application fees and training materials are covered by Everise.
Elaborating on the how the college works, an Everise spokesperson told Health & Protection the system is designed to arm recruits with the skills to work in peak periods when demand for agents is high over the year.
When asked why Everise is covering the costs of training, the spokesperson added: “We are investing in our people to develop their career and retain top talent. In customer support, the more experience an agent has is correlated with better customer experience and productivity.
“For the business it helps us control our supply of resources as we grow, so our speed to ramp up new lines of business we win is faster when we have control over the pipeline and development of licensed employees.”
