First Actuarial has launched a range of group protection services and joined industry body Grid.

The actuarial and investment consultancy has spent two decades focusing on its pensions consultancy business and is now expanding into the risk sector.

It will be offering group income protection, critical illness and life assurance services to its employer clients.

The consultant said it would draw on the wealth of experience of the body and its membership to promote business growth based on best practice.

First Actuarial group protection consultant Suzie Nedza said joining the trade body was an important priority for the team and membership would play an invaluable role in keeping it on top of industry developments and would feed into business development initiatives.

“As our group protection team grows, we will look to Grid’s training academy to hone our professional skills and expertise,” she added.

Grid chairman Colin Fitzgerald said: “First Actuarial is a great example of how members of Grid can offer mutual benefit and support for each other’s businesses.

“We are delighted to welcome First Actuarial to further bolster the organisation.”
