Freedom Health Insurance has hired Paul Kennedy as head of sales for its international private medical insurance (IPMI) business ahead of rolling out new products.
The insurer said he would play a key role in advancing its presence in the international expatriate and global remote worker market.
Kennedy joins from IPMI sourcing system and technology provider Health Compass where he had been commercial and marketing director for the last year.
His experience in the IPMI market includes four years as individual sales and retention manager at Now Health International, and he also spent more than five years as head of direct sales and broker sales at Cigna.
The insurer added that Kennedy’s appointment represented a significant addition to the team and that he brought “an impressive track record of success in highly competitive environments”.
“He has led the creation and growth of sales channels, significantly expanded direct and intermediary sales, and built high-performing teams, achieving remarkable growth, and showcasing his commitment to excellence,” it said.
Freedom Health Insurance chief operating officer Hoosh Mires said the firm was thrilled to welcome Kennedy.
“Paul will play a key role in advancing Freedom Health’s presence in the international expatriate and global remote worker market,” he said.
