Gallagher has appointed Andrew Bowman as chief financial officer (CFO) for its HR and benefits consulting division (GBS) UK, subject to regulatory approval.
Bowman will be responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy for the division and supporting the business’s continued growth and transformation, the firm said.
He joins Gallagher from Ecogra, where he served as CFO, leading the finance function through significant international growth and transformation across the UK, Europe, South Africa, and the United States.
He brings more than two decades of experience in strategic finance, business transformation, and operational leadership across private equity-backed businesses and publicly listed, multi-faceted organisations.
Prior to Ecogra, Bowman held senior finance leadership roles at Capita, managing complex international finance operations, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and diverse revenue streams.
As CFO, he will head up the GBS UK finance function, providing strategic direction and governance across all regions and subsidiaries. He will also oversee financial planning, compliance, and transformative initiatives.
Bowman said: “I’m excited to join Gallagher at this time of growth and lead the finance function for GBS UK.
“GBS plays a vital role in helping organisations with their people strategy, and I look forward to working with the team to strengthen performance and support initiatives that create long-term value for our clients and stakeholders.”
David Piltz, chief executive officer, HR and benefits consulting division, UK, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew to Gallagher.
“He brings a wealth of experience in strategic finance, business transformation and international operations, and we know he’ll make a real impact for GBS UK. His approach and expertise are exactly what we need as we continue to grow, support our clients, and help organisations deliver meaningful benefits to their people.”
