Handl Group has acquired Paediatric Specialist Physiotherapy (PSP) and Osiris Health.
The two brands are being added to Handl’s health and wellbeing division. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Handl said that having already acquired Reach and launched Mind Right, the acquisitions would help PSP and Osiris Health scale up as part of the company’s portfolio and meet growing demands for specialist rehabilitation.
Daniel Franklin, chief strategy officer at Handl, said: “Handl Group’s success is built on growing the companies we invest in, and finding ways for them to build expanded service propositions.
“That’s exactly what PSP and Osiris Health needed, and it gives us the opportunity to link in other brands such as Reach and Mind Right to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to neuro rehabilitation.”
Handl Group were advised by Excello Law’s Heather Summers during the acquisition, while PSP and Osiris Health were supported by CG Professional’s Benjamin Dredge to finalise a deal which will see PSP’s Peter Sanderson remain with the business as clinical services director.
Sanderson will be drawing on his specialisms in anatomy, chemo denervation and medicines optimisation and his experience as a national, European and international adviser on Spasticity management to help drive Handl’s health and wellbeing division forwards.
Handl Group added it is exploring other acquisition opportunities in the sector, with a focus on finding companies that can work alongside their existing brands – including PSP and Osiris Health – to deliver better services and better rehabilitation outcomes.
