Indian workplace health insurance and benefits provider Plum has appointed five senior leaders.

Vinod Chandramouli is taking the position of vice president – sales, having previously led the ASEAN business at Freshworks and helped set up its Asia region operations.

Akshay Golechha is joining as head of partnerships from Temasek where he focused on investing in Indian insurance and consumer firms, while Ramya Lakshmanan, previously director of customer success at Knolskape, will be head of account management.

Avinash Nagla will be head of enterprise marketing after joining from High Radius where he led EMEA marketing and Shreyas Achar is taking the role of head of digital marketing, having previously been senior director of marketing at CleverTap.

Commenting on the appointments, Abhishek Poddar, co-founder and CEO at Plum, said he was delighted to welcome a diverse leadership team that believes in the firm’s mission of insuring 10 million lives by 2024.

“Together, we will accelerate the pace of health insurance adoption across businesses; large and small alike,” he added.

“The depth of experience and insight they bring will help invigorate our organisation and sustain the growth momentum we’ve gained.”
