Award-winning journalist Owain Thomas has joined Health & Protection as editor, taking on the role from today.
Thomas has more than a decade of experience working in the financial trade press.
Thomas now leads the expanded editorial team at Health & Protection, with Graham Simons holding the role of reporter and John Lappin in the role of associate editor, working on special projects.
Thomas began his career in journalism covering the protection and health insurance market and has since edited titles covering workplace benefits and pensions, HR and employment issues.
For the last four years he has been features and contributing editor at Mortgage Solutions and editor of Specialist Lending Solutions. He has also won two Headlinemoney Awards and the Protection Review’s Journalist of the Year award.
Thomas said: “Having started my B2B career covering the health insurance and protection market its really nice to be coming back. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with some familiar faces and meeting lots of new ones.
