Health & Protection appoints Richard Browne as deputy editor

Richard Browne has joined Health & Protection as deputy editor.

Browne (pictured) has more than a decade of experience in journalism spread across the UK and Caribbean.

This includes more than five and a half years as business editor of the Jamaica Observer.

He joins Health & Protection from The Daily Telegraph where he was a deputy editor of syndication in 2022.

Browne’s appointment brings the Health & Protection editorial team to three, joining editor and research director Owain Thomas and senior reporter Graham Simons.

Browne said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as the new deputy editor of Health & Protection.

“I am very proud to be joining such a talented team, and I look forward to contributing towards the high-quality content that our readers have rightfully come to expect.

“With my broad experience in business journalism, I’m really looking forward to focusing on the vital health and protection sector which is becoming increasingly important not just to our audience of advisers, brokers and consultants – but to society at large.”

Editor and director of research Owain Thomas added: “This is another big day for Health & Protection and I’m very pleased to welcome Richard to the editorial team.

“His wide range of experience will be an asset to us as we continue our growth in the UK and with our international coverage.

“I’m sure Richard will become a familiar and trusted face across the industry very soon.”
