Healthcare International Group (HCI Group) is launching a fully modular international private medical insurance (IPMI) plan for individuals, families, and employee group schemes.
The Nimbl Health product is available in Africa and Asia now and will be available worldwide later in 2023, the provider said.
Clients can choose the benefits and levels of cover that best suit their personal needs, with a trio of core benefits and a choice of cost caps and deductibles to suit the client’s budge, it added.
The core benefits modules are inpatient treatment, cancer cover, and emergency dental cover.
Optional modules which can be added to the policy are: outpatient cover, routine dental cover, and assistance and evacuation. Maternity cover is also available for group schemes.
Customers can choose to cap their core benefits at $250,000, $1m, $2m, or $3m and there are five levels of deductibles from nil through to $10,000.
HCI Group noted that while its existing IPMI products – Emergency Plus, Standard, Plus, Premium and Executive – were still available alongside Nimbl Health, the firm will mainly focus on the new product from now on.
Ian Wood, CEO of HCI Group, (pictured) said: “Our customers have requested flexibility for their international private medical insurance and with over half a million possible options, Nimbl Health delivers this.
“By choosing the modular approach, we can offer a truly tailored policy suitable for all budgets and circumstances.”
