Healthcode has appointed Richard Aris to the newly-created role of head of business development.
Aris (pictured) will plan and direct Healthcode’s sales and development activity and report to managing director, Peter Connor.
He will also lead the business development team in developing partnerships with practices, hospitals and insurers, providing them with support and keeping them informed about products and services.
While Aris most recently managed distribution sales for FTSE-listed Just Group, a financial services provider specialising in retirement income, he began his career at Bupa at the turn of the century as a financial adviser and leaft the insurer in 2008 as customer retention manager.
The firm said Aris’ appointment formed part of its transformation programme involving an overhaul of business systems and processes and strategic recruitment to enable the firm to expand and operate effectively on a larger scale.

Aris added: “When I first left private healthcare, businesses still worked in quite an old-fashioned way compared to other sectors, particularly when it came to the administration of claims and remittances.
