Healthcare firm HealthHero has set its sights on further growth and more strategic buys following its acquisition of French telehealth firm Qare.
Last week, Health & Protection reported on the acquisition that sees HealthHero now covering 22m lives and on track to provide just under 3m consultations this year.
Speaking to Health & Protection about the deal, HealthHero founder and CEO Ranjan Singh revealed he was keen to invest further to build a patient/user centre of excellence for HealthHero in Paris and ensure HealthHero met its goal of becoming the “undisputed champion of European digital telehealth” through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
“We are acquiring the best of breed across each market, and accelerating the growth in that market through the combined resources and expertise of the group. Qare is the leading telehealth company in France and gives HealthHero a strong foothold in the French market, as well as bolstering its direct-to-consumer services.”
Singh added Qare CEO Olivier Thierry is staying in his current role alongside Qare’s leadership team and will also join the leadership team of HealthHero, while Qare’s offices will be HealthHero’s only offices in France.
Elaborating on what the deal means for customers, Singh promised that there would be no service disruption.
“Best patient outcomes are and will always be our priority. As Qare matures it will have access to some of the best talent in telehealth care in Europe and cutting edge digital innovation, which means even more resource for improving patient outcomes…
“Following the acquisition, HealthHero now covers 22m lives and will provide just under 3m consultations. In the next few years, we aim to be doing tens of millions of consultations.”
