Heath Protection Solutions has hired Natalie Summerson as protection director, joining from insurer British Friendly.
Summerson (pictured) will be responsible for supporting new business growth plans including communications and partnerships strategy as well as providing advisory services to clients.
She brings more than 25 years of individual protection experience, most recently as executive sales and marketing director at British Friendly Society.
She also held protection roles at Canada Life, where she was head of sales for individual protection, Aviva, Friends Life and Scottish Provident.
Summerson will be working alongside Heath Protection Solutions managing director Naomi Greatorex, who upon launching Heath Mortgage Solutions with her daughter Heather, told Health & Protection she was actively recruiting for her protection business.
Summerson said: “It’s a very exciting time to be joining Naomi and Heath Protection, as her business and the services offered through its sister company Heath Mortgage Solutions expand our reach and offering to clients.
“We believe there is a significant opportunity to help protect many more clients through our partnerships and that will be our focus over the next 12 months.”
