Helen Croft is leaving AIG Life to join global reinsurer Scor as head of life and health underwriting.
Croft started at AIG Life back in 2013 as a development underwriter, progressing to underwriting and claims strategy manager, head of underwriting strategy and mostly recently chief underwriter.
Earlier in her career, she held underwriter roles at Ageas Protect and at Aegon UK before that.
Gavin Maguire, head of UK and Ireland – life and health at Scor, described Croft to Health & Protection as a “proven underwriting leader and brings a wealth of experience from client and customer perspective with her to new role, leading the Scor Life underwriting team”.
“In this role she will be responsible for ensuring we continue to deliver a fantastic underwriting service to our insurer clients in the UK and Ireland,” Maguire added.
“Working with our chief underwriter Phil Cleverley and the wider Scor team, Helen will be focused on our helping our clients evolve their underwriting approaches, continually enhancing our SOLEM underwriting manual, and ensuring our underwriting approach is inclusive and protecting as many families in the UK and Ireland as we possibly can.
“Having known Helen for many years, I’m excited for the energy, enthusiasm, and drive that I know she will bring to the role to deliver excellent outcomes for everyone.”
