Holloway Friendly and Wiltshire Friendly have finalised their merger with the transfer of engagements completed.

Wiltshire Friendly is now part of Holloway Friendly after the merger proposal was announced in April.

As Health & Protection reported at the time, the merged business will continue to operate as Holloway Friendly serving more than 33,000 members, with no job losses expected as a result of the deal.

Wiltshire Friendly’s members will transfer to Holloway Friendly with no changes to their policies or insurance. No action is required and members will continue to receive the same support.

The mutual said the combined entity “creates a more resilient mutual, better positioned to deliver high-quality income protection and member benefits across the UK at a time when financial protection is more important than ever”.

It added: “This transfer reflects a shared purpose and brings the two organisations together under one mutual banner, enabling greater operational efficiency and sustainability.”

Holloway Friendly CEO Ben Pears said: “This merger is a significant moment for both organisations.

“Wiltshire Friendly and Holloway Friendly share values, heritage and an absolute commitment to doing right by our members.

“Bringing these societies together creates a stronger, more sustainable mutual that’s better equipped to serve members for years to come.”
