Impett replaces retiring Andrews as Vitality director of corporate business

Vitality is appointing Gary Impett as director of its corporate business to succeed the retiring Pippa Andrews.

Andrews (pictured), who retires after a more than 30-year career in group risk and corporate private medical insurance, joined Vitality in 2014 as head of underwriting, before moving up to head of corporate two months later.

After starting her career at Zurich, she moved into various underwriting and commercial roles at Aviva, rising to retention and servicing operations manager.

Impett joined Vitality nine years ago as head of corporate sales and will now drive the next phase of the corporate business growth, the insurer said.

‘So many people respect’

Greg Levine, CEO of Vitality’s group operations and deputy CEO of Vitality UK, said Andrews had made a difference to the business and the wider corporate health market.

“Pippa is someone so many people respect and enjoy working with, and her leadership has helped shape what our corporate business is today.”

Andrews said it had been a privilege to work in the sector.

“I’m incredibly proud of what the team has achieved together and of the progress we’ve made in helping employers better support the health and wellbeing of their people.

“I leave knowing the business is in a strong position and in very capable hands.”

Levine described Impett moving up to director of corporate business as a “natural step”.

“Having worked closely with both employers and advisers for many years, he is perfectly placed to lead the next phase of growth in our corporate business, supporting better health outcomes while delivering long‑term value for clients and members,” Levine added.

Impett said he was delighted to step into the role.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to strengthen our partnerships as the business grows,” he added.
