A customer once told Rhys Schofield, founder of Peak Mortgages and Protection, that they did not want their policy to start because Mars was in retrograde.

On the second day of Income Protection Action Week, Schofield explained that the customer said it would have been bad luck if it started at that point.

“I didn’t laugh them out of the room,” he continued. “I asked when Mars was not going to be in retrograde anymore and booked an appointment to follow up later.

“The point is some people will have a reason why they don’t want to do something straight away, but if you find out when they are ready to go, just make sure you keep in touch with them and talk to them when it is convenient.”
