IPipeline has partnered with general insurance broker Safe&Secure Insurance to launch a home insurance referral service.

The new service is available through the SolutionBuilder protection sourcing system and enables advisers to refer home insurance cases to Safe&Secure.

IPipeline said the adviser continues to own the home insurance business and the relationship with the client.

Safe&Secure told Health & Protection that advisers will receive 17.5% commission for every new and renewed policy completed through the referral process.

The adviser sources protection cover to meet the clients’ needs then refers to the firm to source the home insurance from a panel of 32 insurers and complete the application, administration and case management.

Paul Yates, product strategy director at IPipeline, said: “Lack of time is one of the main reasons many advisers are unable to offer both protection and home insurance to clients.

“Our new Refer Home Insurance service via Safe&Secure will free up even more time so advisers can really focus on ensuring their clients have the best all round protection for their needs.”

Chris Griffin, managing director at Safe&Secure Insurance, added that more than 700 brokers now refer customers to the firm to arrange their home insurance.

“The advice offered is a fully advised service using well-known household brands, we complete all the paperwork and the admin, and we take responsibility for the compliance and any complaints and renewals,” he said.

“We have paid out more than £5m in renewal commissions to introducing brokers.”
