IPipeline and Wipro partner to speed up launch of protection provider propositions

IPipeline, the provider of life and pensions digital solutions and services provider, has formed a partnership with Wipro, the global IT, consulting and business process services company.

The aim of the partnership is to help protection insurers accelerate their digital growth plans and allow them to adapt and free themselves of legacy system restrictions.

The partnership is based around the SSG Digital Platform, IPipeline’s self-service, end-to-end platform. Spokespeople for IPipeline and Wipro said the new collaboration will “drive the delivery of digital transformation in the protection market”.

Using an end-to-end, quote-to-claim digital solution means that providers can respond more quickly to fast-changing market conditions – a “particularly important capability in the evolving landscape of Covid-19”, the companies said in a statement.

The partnership will help deliver the SSG Digital Platform to support the ambitions of new customers in both the UK and worldwide.

IPipeline and Wipro said in a statement that their combined capabilities will benefit the industry by allowing insurers to scale up quickly to develop new propositions and enter different markets where current technical restrictions prevent them from doing so. It will also help them better meet their customers’ needs.

The SSG Digital Platform has now processed more than 3.7 million policies across protection, savings, and investments. The SSG Digital platform currently processes over 30% of UK new protection policies.

Ian Teague, UK group managing director at IPipeline, said: “IPipeline’s continued UK growth and the growing sales and market opportunities in Europe mean that we are increasingly focused on developing partnerships. Through our collaboration with Wipro we can continue to drive the growth of the SSG Digital Platform. By leveraging Wipro’s services alongside the capabilities of the SSG Digital Platform, we can help insurers adapt more quickly to changes in the market. This new partnership will also allow insurers to better support the needs of those customers who are locked into old legacy systems.”

Omkar Nisal, managing director UK and Ireland at Wipro, said: “We are excited to partner with IPipeline as a part of our insurance business. Through this partnership, we will bring our industry expertise and system integration capabilities including cloud, cognitive, and co-innovation approach to our joint customers in the insurance space. Together, we are investing to enhance our competencies on SSG Digital platform and create an agile delivery model that improves quality and offers cost efficiencies.”
