The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has added Swiss Re, Instanda, RGI Solutions and Fineos as members.

The additions take membership to 39.

The IPTF also revealed its Income Protection Action Week will return in the week commencing 21 September with the usual format including free to attend online webinars each day across the week between 12 and 1pm.

Swiss Re head of life and health client markets for UK and Ireland Nathan Hill said the reinsurer was delighted to be joining the organisation and supporting the market to improve access, education and awareness.

Fineos CEO Michael Kelly added the collaboration aligned with its vision of a world where protection from illness, injury, and loss was accessible to everyone.

Last month, the IPTF revealed it would be introducing weekly income protection focused training content delivered by its AI service with the first session taking place mid-month.

Further expanding on its plans for the year, the body committed to increasing the amount of work it will be undertaking in its government and regulation workstream in response to the publishing of the Financial Inclusion Strategy last November.

And it added it would be looking to reach beyond the industry with a message about the importance of individuals protecting their income.
