Mortgage and protection adviser Tembo has appointed Jenny Watts as board chairwoman.
Watts (pictured) has acted as a strategic adviser to the tech-focused mortgage and protection intermediary since the summer of 2021.
She has also previously served as managing director of mortgages at Molo, chief operating officer at Dynamo Mortgages and Habito, and director of lending operations at Metro Bank over her career.
At Tembo, Watts will be responsible for overseeing the board and strategic direction of the company and working with key stakeholders and investors to ensure it continues to grow while delivering a compliant service to its customers, the firm said.
Watts said: “Never have those entering the property market had a greater need for a helping hand in terms of bridging the intergenerational wealth gap. 2023 is set to be a very challenging year economically so Tembo is well placed to provide this niche service and I feel lucky to be on this journey with them.”
Richard Dana, founder and CEO of Tembo added: “We are hugely excited that Jenny has joined Tembo. Her skills and experience will be invaluable as we forge ahead and continue to create solutions that will make the dream of home ownership a reality for more people.”
