Justin Harper is joining MetLife and taking on a new role as individual protection product manager at the insurer.
Harper (pictured) previously spent more than 16 years at LV= before leaving earlier this year as part of a restructure of the protection team.
For the last 18 months at the mutual he had been protection proposition and marketing director.
Prior to that he had been head of intermediary marketing for 15 years with the last 11 of those also being as head of marketing.
Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Harper said he was delighted to be taking on the role.
He also thanked MetLife head of individual protection Rich Horner and the team for the challenge, adding there were “exciting and bold developments” coming.
Harper told Health & Protection that he was joining the insurer operating in a highly competitive landscape.
“I’m excited to help shape and drive the development of the already strong product suite for the underserved and unprotected, building on MetLife UK’s extensive claims experience, strong partnerships, and reputation,” he said.
“I welcome this opportunity to join the team and contribute to its strong growth ambitions this year onwards.”
