Joe Cannon has joined preventative health-focused data analytics specialist Klarity as a business development manager.

He joined from YuLife, where he spent four-and-a-half years as a key account manager.

Cannon has already started this newly created position where he is working to expand Klarity’s broker relationships to drive new and existing revenue streams within the employee benefits intermediated market.

Klarity uses AI predictive analytics to help employees assess their risk of developing 10 specific cancers via an online questionnaire.

If the result flags them as being high risk within the next five years, they will be given a test.

Cannon brings with him experience earned at MetLife and Legal & General, where he was a business development consultant and an account manager, respectively.

Cannon said Klarity’s product team has laid a “fantastic foundation” to bring a powerful employee benefit to the market.

“We want to ensure that all employees have access to the right screening at the right time, regardless of age or demographic.”

Klarity’s proprietary mortality and morbidity risk prediction models use data from wearables, electronic health records and blood biomarkers.

The company helps insurers, brokers and employers to improve risk, detect chronic diseases early and provide personalised health insights for their customers.
