Digital mental healthcare provider Koa Health has appointed Charlotte Hilton as UK commercial director.

Hilton was most recently healthcare and B2B partnerships manager at Headspace, where she led development and management of their international team’s enterprise partner channel strategy, specifically focused on UK health and benefits brokers and health insurance carriers.

Her appointment follows the hire of Jennifer Gendron as US chief commercial officer in September.

Dr Oliver Harrison, CEO of Koa Health, said: “Over the course of the pandemic there has been a sharp increase in the number of people experiencing mental health challenges across the UK, with government data showing twice as many people reporting symptoms of clinical depression and anxiety.

“We are delighted to welcome Charlotte, who brings fantastic experience of growing a digital mental health business.

“She will be pivotal in helping us realise our mission of providing effective and clinically-validated digital mental health solutions to users across the UK.”

Hiltonsaid she was thrilled to be joining the company and was impressed by Koa’s approach to addressing the full spectrum of mental healthcare.

“Never before has there been such a need to scale access to tools and evidence-based care for mental health,” said.

“While the government’s recent budget investment in NHS mental health facilities is a step in the right direction, the last 18 months have drastically exacerbated the need for mental health support across all demographics.”
