LifeSearch is in the final stages of testing its new customer app which it will use to improve consumer understanding and engagement, Health & Protection can reveal.

It will start with focusing on using online trusts to smooth the process and improve take-up rates.

Chief marketing officer Justin Harper (pictured) told Health & Protection that the new app is being launched in conjunction with existing partners Yavia and Genie Connect.

Harper explained it was is in the final stages of testing and app store onboarding.

“Protecting people properly is about being there for our customers long after the policy is bought,” Harper continued.

“Too often customers buy life insurance and then lose touch with it – they file it in a drawer to gather dust.“

Harper added the advice firm’s focus is on changing that.

“Our app is about staying connected, improving understanding, and helping people take the right next steps over time,” he added.

“We’re starting with online trusts as our first live use case, which is supported by some AI technology to guide and nudge customers through the process, at their own pace.”
