Lockton has announced that Sudip Indani has joined Lockton India in the role of managing director – head of people solutions, India, based in Mumbai.

Indani has more than 20 years of experience in various senior leadership roles in the insurance industry.

Prior to joining Lockton, Indani worked at Howden for more than four years, leaving as the executive president and national head of the health and benefits practice.

Before that Indani worked for more than 10 years for Willis Towers Watson as director and head of health and benefits for Thailand, and with sales roles for Singapore, Asia and Australasia.

He has also provided strategic leadership in benefits consulting, risk management, and healthcare strategy.

He has extensive experience in managing large and complex employee benefits portfolios, as well as overseeing mass policies and government schemes beyond traditional employer-employee groups.

Indani will spearhead Lockton’s growth plans in India, developing a unique proposition for its people solutions business across the country.

He will also lead a team of industry experts to provide Lockton clients with benefits broking, wellbeing, and healthcare strategy and management through the company’s tech-enabled benefits and advisory approach.

Lockton said: “We are confident that his impressive expertise and leadership will further strengthen our team and pave the way for great success.

“We look forward to achieving new milestones with him on board.”
