Neil Carruthers has been promoted to the position of head of international benefits at Lockton in the UAE, after starting at the company back in 2022.
With some 13 years in the industry, largely in health insurance, Carruthers has worked in the Middle East for eight of those years.
He was a panel participant in the Health & Protection Middle East International Private Medical Insurance Roundtable earlier this year.
He started working for Lockton in Dubai as accounts director in May 2022.
Prior to Lockton, Carruthers was at Pacific Prime in Dubai where he was senior manager for global employee benefits from 2018 to 2022.
Before that he was the country manager in Dubai for Integra Global, from 2016 to 2018.
He first moved to Dubai in 2015 as senior business development manager for Axa Insurance Gulf, having previously worked with Axa in the UK from 2010.
Announcing his promotion on his LinkedIn profile, Carruthers said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as head of international benefits at Lockton.
“I thank our senior leadership team for their confidence in me and appreciate the support from all my peers,” he added.
