LV= Financial Services has revealed it has not been contacted by Amazon to partner with it on a protection insurance solution for its newly launched Insurance Store.
Allianz-owned LV General Insurance is one of the three insurers working with Amazon on its insurance store which launched last week with the aim of offering customers a solution to shop for home insurance.
Ageas and Co-op make up the trio of insurers active at launch.
When contacted by Health & Protection, LV=Financial Services confirmed that Amazon has not approached it about a protection insurance offering for their new insurance store.
It added that Amazon’s existing partnership is with the LV= General Insurance business, which is a completely separate business from the life and pensions (LVFS) business in its own right and has their own CEO, Steve Treloar.
When contacted by Health & Protection about any plans Amazon may have for a move into protection insurance or PMI, a spokesperson said right now it was focused on the launch of the store and could not share more information on future plans at this time.
