Marsh has appointed Mark Riley-Pitt as strategic healthcare growth leader for the UK.
The newly created role sees Riley-Pitt (pictured) take responsibility for Marsh’s advisory function working closely with the private sector as well as policymakers, government agencies and NHS leadership.
He will report to Neil Atkinson, strategic healthcare leader and work closely with Nick McMenemy, Mercer Marsh Benefits UK leader.
Riley-Pitt has more than 30 years of experience working in the healthcare space in the UK, the US, Poland, France, Spain, United Arab Emirates and Canada, with a special focus on public sector healthcare systems. He has also worked extensively with government agencies and regulators, with the aim of improving systems and ultimately patient care.
Atkinson said: “Mark brings a wealth of experience with him from having worked across an extremely diverse group of private and public sector buyers, helping clients manage complex risk environments. He is well respected in the industry and a genuine thought-leader. I look forward to working with him to develop and expand our advisory offering to existing and new clients.
Riley-Pitt said: “I am delighted to be able to join Marsh at such an interesting time for the organisation. Marsh is actively developing solutions to address the complexity of our healthcare system and is taking a unique risk-based approach to leading on improving societal health.”
