Maxis Global Benefits Network (Maxis GBN) has partnered with health insurance solutions provider Further Group to offer its critical advantage solution to multinational clients.
By using Further multinationals will be able to offer their people treatment outside of their home country at medical centres of excellence of their choosing for some of the most critical conditions. These include:
- cancer treatment
- neurosurgery
- coronary artery by-pass surgery
- heart valve replacement and repair
- live organ donor and tissue transplants.
The solution is available globally and allows for equal treatment for all employees, no matter their location.
Treatment, travel and accommodation are all covered and Further organises all bookings and arrangements, meaning employees can focus on their health and recovery.
As part of the partnership, employers receive centralised reporting, administration and management from Further with all policies able to be 100% reinsured and eligible for inclusion in Maxis GBN global programmes.
Damien Payne, director of corporate solutions at Further, said: “Our focus is on health equity and ensuring that regardless of an employee’s location, when faced with a serious illness they should be able to access the best treatment available in a timely manner.
“Given the devastating impact Covid-19 has had on access to cancer treatment, our solutions are more relevant than ever before. We’re excited to be working with Maxis GBN, helping their multinational clients to provide equitable health benefits to their employees.”
Dr Leena Johns, chief health and wellness officer at Maxis GBN, added: “I’m delighted we are adding Further to our third-party suppliers in our wellness technology marketplace.
