Maxis GBN appoints chief BDO from Allianz

Maxis Global Benefits Network (Maxis GBN) has appointed Jayesh Patel as chief business development officer, subject to regulatory checks. 

Patel (pictured) joins on 5 May 2026, will sit on its executive committee and report to CEO, Mattieu Rouot. In his new role, he will oversee Maxis GBN’s global business development (BD) team, with responsibility for developing and implementing its global BD strategy.  

He will join from Allianz Commercial, where he has been global head of multinational market practice since 2022, with responsibility for growing its multinational portfolio and market strategy globally. Before this he held a number of senior roles at Allianz Global Benefits – having worked with the company for nearly 20 years – including regional director for the UK and Ireland and global head of tender and risk management. 

Patel said: “I’m delighted to be joining Maxis GBN and look forward to using my expertise in global strategy and business development to lead its impressive BD team to even greater success. 

“I’m excited to get started and work with the team to ensure we’re delivering the best possible service to our multinational clients around the world.”

Mattieu Rouot, chief executive officer at Maxis GBN, said: “I’m excited that Jayesh will be joining the Maxis GBN team in May.

“He has a wealth of knowledge and experience from nearly two decades in the EB and property and casualty industries.

“He will play an important role in helping Maxis continue to set the standard for the industry, working closely with our multinational clients, global intermediaries and our network partners.”
