Roy McLoughlin has added director of strategic partnerships to his remit at Cavendish Ware.
Speaking to Health & Protection McLoughlin said his new role would be in addition to his responsibilities as associate director.
“I’m going to be spending more time looking after professional relationships that we have with accountants, solicitors, banks, general insurance brokers and other bodies in order to help facilitate signposting and mutual signposting effectively,” McLoughlin revealed.
“I’m not giving up anything. We work with other professional bodies. I do this anyway. It’s just going to be a larger concentration.”
McLoughlin added the firm felt that these professions should be working closer with the adviser community in order to facilitate more cross referencing of clients both ways.
“Equally our clients need lawyers and accountants and banks and general insurance,” he added.
“There’s not enough facilitation and cross referencing across the professions and that is something we can point to our company.
“The protection angle is that will lead to increased protection but it’s not just about that as I do wealth and group as well.”
