Medigold Health launches revised primary care service

Medigold Health has revamped its preventative primary care service by reducing the length of its medical assessments by three-quarters, offering unlimited access to a GP and providing mobile health tests.

The provider said it has attempted make its primary care offering simpler and more accessible for employers.

This has included streamlining its health assessments from eight appointments to just two, reflecting that not everyone needs all eight tests, it said.

A new subscription service providing unlimited access to GPs has also been introduced.

A mobile insight programme has been launched to carry out glucose and cholesterol tests at an employers’ premises, as well as assessing body mass index and checking blood pressure.

Medigold partnership and business development lead, preventative primary care, Lucy Carey said: “Strengthening our primary care pathways is about giving customers faster, simpler and more personalised access to the care they need – without unnecessary steps, delays or rising costs.

“By refining our model, we’re also reducing avoidable escalation into secondary PMI services and easing pressure on acute pathways, ensuring people reach the right care first time.

“Ultimately, this approach delivers timely support, better outcomes and a smoother, more affordable route to treatment.”
