MetLife UK is on the hunt for a new head of underwriting after promoting Lauren Wheadon to transformation and growth initiatives lead.
Wheadon has spent a decade at MetLife with the vast majority of that time in underwriting including the last two-and-a-half years as head of underwriting.
She joined the insurer in July 2014 as a customer service representative but quickly moved into underwriting by being promoted to initial underwriter.
She was then group risk underwriter, senior underwriter and eventually became head of underwriting in August 2022.
Announcing her promotion on LinkedIn, Wheadon said: “I’m pleased to share that I’ve been promoted to transformation and growth initiatives lead.
“My time as head of underwriting provided valuable experience that I’ll draw on in this new role. I’m excited to focus on driving growth and innovation across the organisation.
