More than 10,000 customers have filled in digital forms using Reassured’s universal trust form to streamline policy applications.

The broker launched its own universal Trust form in late September 2023, for customers who take out any life or critical/serious illness policy.

That removed the need for customers to use each insurer’s different Trust document, many of which were in hard copy format and required physical signatures.

Reassured’s digital trust has legal and compliance sign-off from major insurer partners including Aviva, Legal & General, LV=, The Exeter, Scottish Widows, One Family and Vitality.

The form was designed to save time and streamline efficiency, as customers who use the digital form no longer needed to download, print, or save a document. It does not even require a digital signature.

Reassured’s digital trust form has enabled over 10,000 trusts to be filled out and returned, increasing its return rate by more than 200% and providing a template for others to follow in their own businesses.

Mark Townsend, CEO at Reassured, (pictured) said: “We are delighted to have seen positive results one year on after implementing our universal trust form.

“The trust process has been an area lacking in innovation and has remained rooted in the historical procedure of filling out cumbersome forms.

“We wanted to implement an insurer agnostic, digital trust form that is fit for the modern world and makes life easier for our customers.

“We are proud to have solved this long-standing issue on behalf of the wider industry and to the benefit of all consumers.”

Ali Crossley, managing director of distribution at Legal & General retail, said: “Reassured’s digital trust form has not only made the process more time-efficient, but more importantly has helped ensure the right people receive customer proceeds when needed.”
