Channel Insurance Brokers has hired Darren Nicol as account director.
Nicol (pictured) joins from Pacific Prime where he was a business development manager (BDM).
Earlier in his career, Nicol was also a BDM at Gallagher and spent 12 years at Axa Health where he was an international portfolio account manager.
He joins CIB to drive growth and client delivery across the Channel Islands, with a focus on strengthening its broker proposition and expanding its footprint in private medical insurance and reports to Tony De Sousa, CIB group managing director and PIB Group’s Channel Islands broking leadership.
De Sousa said: “Darren combines deep Channel Islands experience with a clear client focus. His experience will help us scale responsibly while keeping service at the heart of what we do. I’m delighted to welcome him to the CIB board.”
