Niki Barnes has joined William Russell as international marketing manager.
Last week, Health & Protection reported Barnes was leaving Axa Global Healthcare and moving to another role in the IPMI industry, having been a senior intermediary and corporate marketing manager at Axa Global Healthcare for 11 years from 2014.
Announcing her appointment, William Russell revealed Barnes will take over management of its marketing team as international marketing manager.
Barnes reports directly into William Cooper, who retains oversight of the marketing operation while taking on a greater role in the company’s strategic direction.
Her remit is building the William Russell brand, supporting its business development team to build productive relationships with intermediaries, and driving lead generation in the direct-to-consumer distribution channel.
Cooper said: “I’m pleased that Niki is joining us and I’m looking forward to working with her to advance William Russell’s name in the industry and better support our members and intermediary partners.”
Barnes’ appointment follows a series of industry appointments by William Russell in 2024, following the hires of Teresa Wighton from Bupa Global, Paul Hawke and Lisa Done from Axa Global Healthcare and Dale Kent from Cigna Global.
