Nuffield Health has agreed a partnership with diagnostics provider LycaHealth with the aim of delivering faster, high quality diagnostic services to more people using Nuffield Health’s health and wellbeing services across London.
The partnership sees the UK health charity occupy a satellite clinic at LycaHealth’s diagnostic facility in Canary Wharf, for an initial two years, starting in January.
The clinic will be used by Nuffield Health’s GPs and clinical teams to carry out primary care services, including health assessments for those working or living in Canary Wharf and the surrounding areas.
Through the relationship with LycaHealth, Nuffield Health’s hospital consultants will be able to access the centre allowing for referral into the nearby Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s and The Holly hospitals.
Paul Mcpartlan, executive operation director for London at Nuffield Health, said: “LycaHealth’s clinical expertise and values align closely with ours.
“We have a shared vision to meet the rising demand for healthcare services by delivering faster diagnosis to improve health outcomes for as many people as possible in Canary Wharf and across London.
“Our new satellite site within LycaHealth’s facility is the first step to strengthening our presence in Canary Wharf as part of our wider London Health and Wellbeing System. It aligns to our purpose of building healthier communities and through our GP services and health assessments at Canary Wharf, we can support more people to live healthy, get better and stay well.
“Our hospital consultants will also be able to refer people into our Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s and The Holly hospitals.”
Prema Subaskaran, chairperson at LycaHealth, Westminster Healthcare and KIMS Hospital, said: “The pathway to good health is diagnostics.
“This exciting new relationship between Nuffield Health and LycaHealth in Canary Wharf places patients at the heart of our work.
“With our brilliant team of consultants and heath care professionals operating from London’s business hub we will be able to give our patients the fastest, more efficient and effective solutions for their heath needs.”
Enda O’Meara, CEO for LycaHealth, added: “We’re thrilled about our relationship with Nuffield Health and we are looking forward to working together to help tackle the rising demand for diagnostic and healthcare services in Canary Wharf and across London.
“Our relationship prioritises personalised patient care, cutting edge diagnostics care so both LycaHealth and Nuffield Health can together make London healthier.”
