RedArc has helped one in four of those it supported to stay in work or return to work.
This is according to research carried out by the nurse-led health and wellbeing company from January to December 2023 among 346 patients.
The results of RedArc’s annual patient survey also showed 77% valued having someone to talk to outside of their family and friends.
And following the support of their dedicated nurse, the research indicated 64% felt confident that they were aware of all support that was available to help them with their condition, 40% better understood their illness after support and 39% believed that the support helped them cope better with their illness.
Almost all (95%) respondents said that being supported by RedArc gave them an enhanced view of the hosting organisation be that an employer or insurer.
Nearly nine out of ten (88%) said they would recommend the organisation, making it ‘world-class’ in terms of its net promoter score – a cross-industry measure of customer satisfaction.
Christine Husbands, commercial director at RedArc, (pictured) said: “We at RedArc spend a great deal of time focussing on good health outcomes for the individual,.
But the truth of the matter is that these good outcomes are extremely beneficial for employers too,. When an individual is supported with their health condition, be that physical or mental, they are likely to have fewer and shorter absences, remain loyal to, and have an enhanced opinion, of their company.
“It’s also beneficial to the insurer – as such support means people make smaller and fewer insurance claims and have a much more positive view of their insurer.
“While our mission is simple – to make people’s lives easier and better when their circumstances have been compromised by health matters or external factors – the roadmap is often complex but we know that helping people to stay in or return to work often leads to the best outcomes.”
