Pacific Prime has appointed Shabab Maqsud as senior relationship manager for its Australia business.

Pacific Prime entered the Australia market earlier this year, opening a new office in Sydney in February.

Maqsud previously worked for Honan Insurance Group in Sydney, Australia for six years as head of client service and client manager.

Prior to that he worked for the BT Financial Group, in Barangaroo, Australia as a senior financial adviser.

Maqsud will work alongside Michael Atta, who was appointed as head of employee benefits in Australia in January, after previously working at Honan Financial Services where he was a director. Atta is spearheading the firm’s expansion into Australia.

Neil Raymond CEO and founder of Pacific Prime, said via LinkedIn: “Our Australia office is in for some exciting times ahead. I’d like to welcome Shabab Maqsud to Pacific Prime as our senior relationship manager.

“With extensive experience in finance and employee benefits, Shabab will work alongside Michael Atta to deliver the best employee benefits solutions in the Oceanic and Asia-Pacific regions.”

Maqsud said: “I’m excited about this new opportunity with Pacific Prime and look forward to delivering outstanding employee benefits solutions to our clients across Australia and the APAC region.”
