Employee benefits and insurance service provider Personal Group is launching a group cash plan range which will feature DocHQ’s remote physiotherapy service.

The range will be launched as a new product rather than as an extension for the provider’s existing plans, Health & Protection can reveal.

The DocHQ service is also likely be made available through Personal Group platforms.

The service offers appointments with chartered physiotherapists in under 48 hours, compared to the current average NHS wait times of 15 weeks.

It aims to cut the risk of transitioning from acute to chronic conditions which can result in long-term pain, reduced mobility or permanent disability.

Arianne Riddell, chief client officer at Personal Group, said: “Our partnership is rooted in a shared belief that better health outcomes start with removing barriers and empowering people to take control of their wellbeing.

“Our partnership with DocHQ forms part of our soon to be launched group cash plan range, which is a new product rather than an extension of existing plans and will be available through this refreshed cash plan structure rather than being bolted onto current arrangements.

“We’re also exploring ways to enable access via our Hapi employee benefits platform, including for end users.”

Amit Arora, chief commercial officer at DocHQ, added: “Personal Group has a strong reputation for putting employees first, and our organisations are closely aligned in how we approach workplace wellbeing.

“By combining our strengths, we can help employers build healthier, happier workforces reducing musculoskeletal risks.”
