Customers who bought life or critical illness insurance policies through Reassured received more than £50m in claims payments last year.
The broker firm said this was an increase of 25% from 2022 which itself was up 37% from 2021.
It added that a total of 1,235 claims were paid out over last year.
Reassured director of corporate strategy Phil Jeynes emphasised that genuine consumer outcomes were what makes the industry matter.
“It is therefore gratifying once again to see our customers receive the protection they need at the time they most need it,” he said.
“The job our staff do each day has a tangible benefit which can be seen in these remarkable numbers.
“While we are acutely aware that each of these claims represents a dark time in our customers’ lives, we are tremendously proud to have been able to stand alongside them and at least alleviate some of their burden.”
The firm added that in addition to its core panel, other business areas also saw claims growth.
Notably MetLife paid out to 692 Reassured customers in 2023 for a variety of causes including hospitalisation and broken bones.
