Reassured has appointed Beth Whelan as chief strategy and data officer (CSDO).

The broker said Whelan (pictured) will help shape its long-term strategic planning by driving innovation and embedding data-driven decision-making into day-to-day operations.

Whelan will lead the firms’s change and data science functions, respectively and will be responsible for enhancing data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in technology and people to unlock better decision-making and sharper predictive insights.

Earlier this month, Reassured revealed it is working with Voyc in a bid to improve customer outcomes by monitoring all customer calls.

The AI-powered conversation monitoring platform enables the intermediary to provide near real-time feedback to agents.

Whelan brings more than 20-years of financial services experience and will report to chief executive officer Mark Townsend, also joining the firm’s executive leadership team.

Prior to joining as a contractor in the role of data and transformation director, she served TDX Group as the chief strategy and transformation officer.

Townsend said since join in November 2024, Whelan had been a central part in the firm’s data and technology journey with the goal of facilitating more informed and strategic decision making.

“I am delighted to welcome Beth to the role of CSDO where she will continue to deliver greater efficiency across the business and enhance Reassured’s impact to both customers and insurer partners,” he said.

Whelan added she was pleased to be stepping into the role of CSDO after an eight-month stint working with the team as a contractor.
