In total payments reached £67m from across Reassured’s core insurer panel, surpassing the 2023 figure by £17m and helping more than 2,500 families.
This was equivalent to an average of over 200 families per month seeing their policy pay out throughout the year.
Mark Townsend, CEO at Reassured (pictured) said: “Providing the best customer outcomes when it really matters is what our industry is there to do.
“These figures stand as a testament to the hard work of our staff, and I am pleased to see that Reassured customers received the protection they needed at the crucial moments when it really mattered.
“We also appreciate that each claim signifies a negative event in our customers’ lives, and we hope that we were able to provide support during these difficult times.”
Julie Godley, intermediary director retail protection at Legal & General, added: “Reassured’s results highlight the positive impact the protection industry can have on individuals and families across the UK.
“The great work Reassured carries out as an intermediary is demonstrated by the fact that an average of 54 Legal & General claims were paid out per month last year to Reassured’s customers.”
