RedArc adds Funeral Experts to bereavement support

RedArc is adding bereavement support service Funeral Experts to its range of third-party support providers.

It is available as a standard benefit to all members with access to the RedArc service.

RedArc commercial consultant Christine Husbands told Health & Protection: “The Funeral Experts service is another service added to the range of external services that the nurse can organise for any user – along with counselling, second opinion and speech therapy.”

Funeral Experts is an independent, impartial service that supports individuals and families through the practical, financial and administrative challenges that can arise at the end of life and following a death, the firm said.

Its offering includes funeral advice, welfare benefits advice, income maximisation, death notifications, probate and estate administration guidance and support with end-of-life planning. The organisation works alongside NHS Trusts, local authorities and charities to ensure people receive timely, joined-up support when they need it most.

Husbands added: “Dealing with funeral arrangements and managing a loved one’s estate is never easy, particularly when emotions are still raw and important decisions need to be made quickly.

“The practical responsibilities that follow a death can feel overwhelming, so we’re very pleased to be partnering with Funeral Experts to provide specialist support in this area, complementing the wide-ranging help that RedArc already offers to bereaved individuals and their families.”

Funeral Experts CEO Jason Ghous said: “We’ve supported thousands of bereaved families through the early stages following a death, helping them navigate funeral arrangements, administration and paperwork at what is often an incredibly difficult time.

“We’re pleased to be working with RedArc and contributing an additional layer of practical expertise to its already comprehensive bereavement support service.”
