Royal London has appointed Gary Pitman as protection national account manager.
Pitman (pictured) joins the mutual’s protection distribution team from Aviva, where he was senior partnership manager.
He joined Aviva following its acquisition of AIG Life where he spent 12 years holding the roles of sales performance manager and key account manager.
Earlier in his career he held sales roles at Friends Life, William Russell and Bupa.
Jon Fuller, protection distribution director at Royal London, said: “Gary is a great addition to a strong Royal London distribution team and will help us achieve our ambitious plans.
“Gary will provide a dedicated protection focus to key accounts we deal with, working closely with the existing national account managers.”
